Coaches Studies

COACHES MINISTRY UPDATE:


The foundation of the coaches ministry in Northeast Alabama FCA are the weekly coaches studies that meet before school. They meet on their respective campuses for 6 weeks and then decide if they want to continue for another 6 weeks. The small groups of 4-10 coaches are begun by a FCA staff person and then taken over by one of the coaches. The topics are all coach related such as The Legacy Builder series (How to Leave a Legacy in your players)by Coach Rod Olson or the book The Greatest Coach Ever- John Wooden, or the R12 Series by Chip Ingram. All studies are designed for discussion and application and can be lead by any of the coaches. This past school year there were studies on 30 different campuses from middle school to the college level with over 200 coaches attending.

One of the major goals and challenges of the coaches ministry is to develop a team of FCA 3D(Dimensional) coaches:

1 To have an excellent and well run program
2 To have an intentional plan to develop character in the players
3 To have a significant impact in the players’ eternal destiny
